Frappé par la multitude de formes diverses qu'il est possible de créer avec du papier, il apprend vite à apprécier les différentes facettes de cet art : modèles géométriques ou figuratifs, origami modulaire ou à usage pratique. Il s'emploie à inventer lui‑même des modèles et à découvrir les principes géométriques des pliages, jouant avec l'éventail des formes issues de l'origami pour imaginer de nouvelles créations qui s'inscrivent dans une quête de plaisir esthétique. Membre du Centre de diffusion de l'origami (CDO) depuis 2001, pour lequel il a réalisé plusieurs publications et conçu les diagrammes de nombreux modèles, Francesco Decio a participé à une multitude d'événements et de manifestations en Italie et à l'étranger. Invité d'honneur à des conférences en Suisse et en Pologne, il a présenté ses travaux qui s'inspirent en grande partie de la géométrie dans l'espace. Elle a présenté ses créations dans de nombreuses expositions dont la plus récente, " Origami, Esprit du papier ", s'est tenue à Turin. Membre du Centre de diffusion de l'origami (CDO) depuis 1999, elle a intégré sa direction en 2009 et se charge d'organiser événements et manifestations. Elle fait également partie du groupe bergamasque Bergamorigami, qui s'occupe de diffuser cet art au niveau local. Depuis 1998, Vanda a organisé à peu près une exposition par an, présentant ses travaux aux côtés de ceux d'autres artistes, et a participé en 2014 à la convention nationale d'origami qui a eu lieu en Suisse en tant qu'invitée spéciale.
