Too Far: A Why Choose Sports Romance

I never considered how far I’d go to protect those I love.
Not until now.
Not until them.
Locke. Kylian. Kendrick. Decker.
The boys of Lake Chapel own me: mind and body, heart and soul.
I’ll fight for them. Wait for them. Root for them and support them through anything.
Because what we’re building together is a forever kind of love.
Every word will be dissected, every move recorded, but the cameras and media scrutiny are temporary.
We cling to private moments away from the mansion and hold out hope that life won’t always be this hard.
But when a terrifying encounter with parallels to the past leaves us shaken, Decker takes drastic action.
And despite our whispered promises and dreams for the future, what we share may not be enough to survive the pressure of what comes next.
The boys of Lake Chapel taught me that love can be limitless.
No one warned me what can happen when love is pushed too far.

Christmas Carol (Wordsworth Collector’s Editions)

Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. A Christmas Carol is the most famous, heart-warming and chilling festive story of them all. In these pages we meet Ebenezer Scrooge, whose name is synonymous with greed and parsimony: 'Every idiot who goes about with Merry Christmas on his lips, should be boiled with his own pudding, and buried with a stake of holly through his heart'. This attitude is soon challenged when the ghost of his old partner, Jacob Marley, returns from the grave to haunt him on Christmas Eve. Scrooge is then visited in turn by three spirits of Christmas Past, Present and Future, each one revealing the error of his ways and gradually melting the frozen heart of this old miser, leading him towards his redemption. On the journey we take with Scrooge we encounter a rich array of Dickensian characters including the poor Cratchit family with the ailing Tiny Tim and the generous and jolly Fezziwig. When Charles Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol in 1843 he fashioned an enduring gift to the world, capturing the essence of the love, kindness and generosity of the Christmas season. It is a timeless classic and the story's uplifting magic remains as potent today as when it was first published. The Anatomy of Melancholy

Ostensibly a guidebook to melancholia or depression, Burton's masterpiece is really an all-encompassing examination of the human condition.

The Anatomy of Melancholy is the vast and only work by Robert Burton, the seventeenth-century English priest and scholar. It 'opens and cuts up' the condition of melancholy, or depression as we know it today, and in doing so explores a dizzying range of additional topics including goblins, beauty, the geography of America, digestion, the passions, alcohol and kissing. Burton believed that reading was a cure for melancholy, and so the book itself - one of the most unique and uncategorisable works of all time - can be seen as a tonic for the very condition it describes.
